Hindsight is 2020: Breathgiving during a Pandemic

Using a/r/tographical inquiry in the midst of social isolation proved to be an enlivening opportunity while we all learned how to live during a pandemic. Focusing on photographs from daily walks, I came to appreciate the strategy of photographic pairs as a way of understanding what I had seen and what I had learned from the experience. This paper shares twenty images with twenty lines of poetry to metaphorically relate to the year 2020. The combination of photography and poetry complement one another and offers an example of how undertaking a/r/tographical inquiry may help us understand confusing and complex relations with the world around us.
