Private foundations are making waves in public education all over the world. In Denmark, private foundations such as Novo Nordisk, LEGO, and Mærsk have become important players in public education. The investments of private foundations bring with them new pedagogical practices, educational expertise, and institutional responsibilities. Yet despite their rapid growth in size and influence, the empirical and structural impact of private foundations in public education remains surprisingly underexplored.

In this panel discussion we bring together some of the most prominent international scholars researching the changes entrenched in the work of private foundations in public ed-ucation to help us approach and discuss the key questions embedded in the field.
